Benefit yard sale raises over
$1200 for VETEGA
Thank you to everyone who braved the rain to attend the yard sale sponsored by Lamoille Valley Veterinary Services to benefit VETEGA. Veterinary Efforts in Giving to Animals (VETEGA Inc.), is a new non-profit organization in the Lamoille region, that has been formed to collect and administer funds for animals in need of veterinary care who either do not have locatable owners, or have owners who need financial assistance for such care; and for programs to promote and support the Human-Animal Bond. Participating veterinarians raise funds for VETEGA through methods of their choice (change round up, direct donations from their clients, other fundraisers, etc.). In return those veterinarians and their clients can apply for grants for spay/neuter assistance or medical/surgical funding. Ask your veterinarian if they are participants and encourage them to join if they aren?t. For more information, http://vetega.org or PO Box 92, Lake Elmore, VT 05657, (802)888-6238

We recently worked with Heartland Golden Retriever Rescue to help a stray dog named "Bud." "Bud's" story would not be so upbeat if it wasn't for groups like Heartland doing great work day after day.
